Ceiling fan remote controls need to have the same frequency to be interchangeable. The operating frequency is usually determined by the FCC ID on the back. If you are unsure, please send us the FCC ID and we will help you choose the right remote.
Preconditions:
The remote control is for AC ceiling fans, please make sure your ceiling fan is a 3-speed AC ceiling fan. If the ceiling fan has 6 speeds or other adjustable speeds, then the ceiling fan is a DC ceiling fan. There is no universal replacement remote control for DC ceiling fans, so you need to contact the manufacturer where you purchased the ceiling fan to obtain replacement parts.
Unable to use solution:
- Step 1:Check the batteries: After installing the batteries, press the button to see if the remote control light comes on
- Step 2:Check whether the DIP code in the battery compartment of the new remote control is adjusted to the same as the old remote control(If the old remote control is lost, please try the 16 dial combinations in sequence according to the following pictures)
- Step 3:If the above steps still do not work, it may be that the frequency of your remote control is inconsistent with this remote control. You need to purchase a corresponding RC-28R receiver.
